About Us
This platform is here for you, for me, for your daughters, for our ancestors who couldn't tell their stories, for our friends, for the younger ones and those who are no longer with us, for all of us. Breaking the pact of silence of those of us who suffer violence simply for being women makes the problem visible and quantifies it, allowing us to act.
I invite ALL women who have suffered violence to speak out and, through art, tell their stories. The BreaktheSilenceNow movement is not against men, it is against violence.
I am not ashamed of having suffered violence, and I urge you not to be ashamed either. We did nothing wrong by trusting others, and the shame should not fall on our shoulders, but on the shoulders of the aggressor.
No one will ever again find comfort in our silence.
